Email Configuration

Once you have an email account set up, you will need to be able to respond to and send emails. You can either manage your emails on the web or with and email program.

To view your emails on line, go to your the appropriate web address. When you set up your web site's hosting service or set up your ISP connection this will be provided to you. Once you have the correct address on your web browser click on File>Send>Shortcut to Desktop. Then you will have an Icon on your computer to bring you to the right address. Each time you go in, you will have to log in with your email or id and your password.

The better way to manage your email account is to configure your email software. Several programs are available such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Mozilla, and Netscape.

To configure your email software you will need to know the type of email ( POP3,IMAP,Hotmail, etc.) , the POP server adddress, the SMTP address, your email id and your password. Then just click on Add Account and follow the directions.
