What do we mean by a "Static Site".
A static site consists of HTML files, a CSS file for formatting, and JPEG and GIF files.
A static site is not a dynamic site.
A static site is not an interactive site.
A static site does not include any database work.
A static site is not a Flash site or contain Flash files.
A static site does not contain these extra, somewhat unnecessary, elements. It is perhaps boring and simple. But it is affordable and effective. It is the most accessible to all types of computers and web browsers. If you are looking to show off your business and not your ability to design a web site then an static site is a great place to start.
